Collection: elkskin deerskin

Thick deerskin from New Zealand

The soft touch and fluffy texture that characterizes deerskin makes it ideal for Native American items, leather shirts, pouches, etc.

Since it is a large deerskin from New Zealand, it is larger in size and relatively thicker than Japanese deer or general deerskin.

It is written as elk skin, but in the United States

Elk = big deer

moose = elk

This product is made of elk leather.

Some manufacturers sell products made of thick deerskin over 3mm thick as elkskin, but it is most likely moose (elk) leather.

Please be careful not to make any mistakes.

Deerskin has a large difference in thickness between the back and ventral sides, with the back side being around 2.0mm thick and the ventral side being about 1.0mm thick, but depending on individual differences, the back side may only be about 1.8mm thick.

The size also varies greatly between individuals, ranging from 100 to 150 ds, and the leather has many scratches typical of wild animals.

Please note that we cannot accept orders that specify the condition.
